Resembling palms, the trees have a stout trunk and a crown of large compound leaves. Cycads once grew in great abundance along the coast of Singapore in Katong, but were threatened by development works.

Other wildlife that inhabit the island include a group of smooth-coated otters — a globally threatened species found only in Asia. The elusive sultan dragonfly can also be seen on the island.

Males have a dark red body, while females are yellow and slightly larger. The most famous of all the wildlife on the island is the lone Brahman bull, which has made the island its home.

It was discovered while the park was being developed and found to be very ill then, but the bull has since been nursed back to health and now roams the island freely.

Visitors are advised not to approach, provoke or take close-up shots of the animal. Future plans An interim park and an area zoned for sports and recreational purposes are in the pipeline of future developments on coney island.

Things are just getting up to speed in Coney Island. I went down to Coney Island for the first time since last summer. The beaches and the Boardwalk are open and most of the restaurants are now open too but with more limited seating so there is life at the Boardwalk.

The beach was crowded but people did their best to stay apartment from one another as best they could with the amount of space on the beach.

It was a beautiful day and people were swimming and having a good time. It was just hard to wear a mask when it is the beach. This will take some getting used to in the future.

Great amusements! Visited Coney Island on the 23rd August Really great amusement park, rides are brilliant. The Cyclone was a great old wooden rollercoaster, would recommend if you like bone shakers!

The Wonder Wheel has a really unique take on a normal ferris wheel, the carts slide across a track whilst you move round, a lot of fun! Rides are quite expensive but are really worth it.

Food was good. Me and my family stayed in Manhattan and travelled to Coney Island on the subway which was fine, not scary like some people think.

A day at the beach. Coney Islamd is an extension of Brooklyn. There's lots to see; it's an amusement park.. There are various entertainments at a variety of prices.

If you get bored, take a stoll on the boardwalk. This is New York, not Orange County, it really is just for fun. If you get hungry, have some popcorn, or a Nathan's Hotdog.

Things are just getting up to speed in Coney Island. They can't hurt me. Sure, they can crush you and kill you.

They can lay you out on 42nd and Broadway and put hoses on you and flush you in the sewers and put you on the subway and carry you out to Coney island and bury you on the Ferris wheel.

But I refuse to sit here and worry about dying. Time, Eddie had decided during this period, was in large part created by external events.

When a lot of interesting shit was happening, time seemed to go by fast. If you got stuck with nothing but the usual boring shit, it slowed down. And when everything stopped happening, time apparently quit altogether.
