It turns out that this being the shows last season is a good thing, as it really stretches for material and the plot seems contrived.
Still, it attempts to honor the show's original premise by working in a computer virus as the catalyst for the sneak attack and the cast delivers some strong performances.
Also, the writers take some daring risks, and do a good job at building dramatic tension and suspense. Season 5 of The Last Ship has its problems, but still delivers a thrilling adventure that closes out the series.

Plus, I thought the world was pretty much devastated by the plague, but it seems like they have totally bounced back and everything is A OK now.

I have tried and continue watching it but the last ridiculous and very poorly plotted and directed episode SE Warriors has been the last straw.
