She also insists that Mera marry to ensure the succession, yet also refuses to allow Arthur to become king again. Mera declares her intention to marry Vulko, as any other potential suitor would seek to control her.
She also stalls by insisting that the royal wedding be meticulously planned to the last detail. Black Manta destroys an Atlantean historical site in order to provoke a confrontation with Mera and the recently resurrected Arthur.
